Comment (by Paul Kienzle):

 The new bindings have a memory leak (90k per file open/close cycle; no
 tests of memory usage for other operations).  This ticket will remain open
 until that is resolved.

 A layer above napi which understands the DTDs and can translate, e.g.,
 dates to python dates and  values to values in particular units may be
 provided later.
