 I can confirm that I tried this against the trunk which I updated to the
 last version. I
 believe it said something like 942.

 I am using scientific linux 3 which is Redhat Enterprise Linux 3
 recompiled by CERN.
 The versions:
 - autoconf: 2.57
 - automake: 1.6.3
 - libtool: 1.4.3
 Is is again the problem that I am using the oldest stuff around? We have a
 production linux
 environment, we are reluctant to upgrade. But we will, in the shutdown
 2007-2008
