 There seems to be a problem with the IDL bindings on x86_64 RHEL 4/5.
 I get the same error on both RHEL 4 and CentOS 5.

 The problem seems to be with the nxgetslab() function - it produces an IDL
 error:

 % Unable to allocate memory: to make array.
   Cannot allocate memory
