 I tried building 4.3rc1 on SL5. It failed compiling napi5.h. The reason is
 that I still have the 1.6.* HDF-5 libraries. I think we agreed to support
 1.8 only as of now. Thus the desired behaviour would be that configure
 tells
 you that the HDF-5 version is to old.
