 Tobias,

 Sorry - I committed the files as it was the easiest way for me to get them
 onto the system I was using. The debian directory is just in the svn and
 not the release tarball. What I was expecting dpkg-buildpackage to do was
 a "make dist" to build a clean release tarball and then to use this
 instead (which is what the rpm building does). I had not got round to
 looking into how dpkg-buildpackage was actually working and was going to
 ask you this afternoon - does it have to use the local svn checkout
 directly, or can it be changed to point at a tarball created from "make
 dist"?
