This message is to let you know the plan for the next couple months. First we will finish voting on the ammendments for the base classes. Then the instrument editors will be instructed to get a draft to be discussed and (hopefully) ratified at the next NIAC meeting in Switzerland during October. 
 
The reason for this course of action is a direct result of an informal poll of a some neutron facilities that revealed the main thing holding them back from using NeXus is a lack of instrument definitions. This problem can be solved by dilligent work over the next couple of months. For instrument editors, the swiki to help discussions of your definitions is at http://www.neutron.anl.gov.:8080/NeXus <http://www.neutron.anl.gov.:8080/NeXus> . I will make placeholders for the various editors under "NeXus Instrument Definitions".
