[NeXus-committee] FW: [Neutron] THIRD ROUND OF THE NMI3 CALL FOR PROPOSALS LAUNCHED!

Many of you will just have received this email through the neutron
scattering mailing list. I think we should consider whether European
members of the NeXus committee might be able to obtain some funding for
NeXus development through this programme. It would seem to be appropriate
to their goals.

I have set up a Swiki page <http://www.neutron.anl.gov:8080/NeXus/99> to
allow us to debate this issue. Does anyone have any ideas about what sort
of funding would be appropriate? Workshops, training sessions, programming
support? If anyone can find out more details about this programme, please
let us know.

Thanks,
Ray

THIRD ROUND OF THE NMI3 CALL FOR PROPOSALS LAUNCHED!
Are you contemplating organizing any activity that relates to spreading the
use of neutron scattering or muon spectroscopy?

NMI3 supports these actions under the "Networking activities"
and the Third Round for proposals is NOW OPEN.

This proposal cover the period FROM JULY 2005 to DECEMBER 2005

The Deadline for application is JANUARY 31, 2005.

Support for:
Schools on neutron scattering and/or muon spectroscopy.
Workshops to improve neutron and muon techniques and methods.
Observers to attend a Joint Research Activity meeting.
Individual mobility to aid transfer of technologies.

You can apply for funds now.
Do it through the NMI3-OPSS "ONLINE PROPOSALS SUBMISSION SYSTEM" on the
"European portal for neutron scattering and muon spectroscopy."

NMI3 carries out foresight studies to identify the future directions of
neutron scattering and muon spectroscopy. Ideas for Foresight Studies can be
submitted throughout the year to the NMI3 networking coordinator. They will
be evaluated at the NMI3 meetings.
