 units cancel out.
  * '''NX_UNITLESS''' is for things with no units at all and can be used to
 differentiate from '''NX_DIMENSIONLESS''' or '''NX_ANY'''

 Note:  The comment for NX_ANY suggests that NX_UNITLESS might be more
 appropriate when the quantity being described is something such as
 ''log(x).''
