 Schematron provides a way for us to validate a file more efficiently and
 flexibly, but is just a set opf rules and so does not describe the
 structure of the file (e.g. classes and inheritance) in a way that other
 programs can use. Thus i think there is still an important role for these
 files and the generation of .xsd from the .nxdl
