 Alternatively, could consider moving from DocBook to something else.
 (This may be easier than trying to beautify the CSS of DocBook).  One
 contender is sphinx (used by Python, matplotlib, numpy, and others).  It
 produces HTML, LaTeX, and PDF and the markup looks much lighter than
 DocBook.  http://sphinx.pocoo.org/
