Freddie,
Thanks for setting that up. It looks good. Could you please give me a
password to access the server. I promise that I won't touch the C code
since I don't have enough experience with the language. However, Stephan
Rosenkranz and I have been working on a F90 interface and would like to
install a trial version at some stage. It's a lot simpler than the F77 API
since it should only be necessary to include an interface block to the C
routines in a single module rather than a full set of F77 subroutines. I
would also like to keep tabs on the documentation being included with the
distribution.

Chris Moreton-Smith raised the issue of having an archive of NAPI messages
available. I could probably set that up since I have a copy of a
full-featured mail (list) server on my Mac. All the previous messages are
stored in a large text file at the moment, but they are not available yet on
the web. However, I wondered if it would make more sense for the NAPI
mailing list to be taken over by you at ISIS since you are currently
maintaining the CVS system. If you have easy access to mail server
software, which includes e.g. cgi access to a mail archive (converted to
HTML?), would you like to take it over? I certainly don't want to pressure
you into doing it, since you already have a lot on your plate, and I could
do the work myself without much trouble, but if you think it makes sense I
would support the move.

Finally, my version of Netscape 4.04 is not reading your web page properly.
In particular, the following appears in the text several times :

&Quot;NeXus&Quot;

It's a while since I read this bit of the HTML standard, so I can't tell you
what's going wrong with the special character translation. However,
presumably you could change it to NeXus or something similar.

Regards,
Ray
