[Nexus-developers] plans for a nexus viewer ?

My short answer is <http://www.neutron.anl.gov/nexus/NXvalid.html>. At
the moment it can only do tables of arrays up to four dimensions
(rank<=4). As time permits, it will include some of the ISAW viewers to
plot more interesting things like NXdata, NXmonitor, and NXlog. The
plotting will be the "simple" views that are described on the NeXus
homepage (no conversions, but there is interaction such as zooming).
However, this is a java application (as is ISAW) so it might not be
quite what you were looking for.

Subject: [Nexus-developers] plans for a nexus viewer ?

hi all,

are there plans for a future development of a graphical Nexus Viewer?

I have a standalone tool with a GUI in mind that, similar to the
HDF-Viewer,
can display the nexus hirarchy in a tree view to the left and which is
able
to display the data in form of tables and plots to the right. in
contrast to
the hdf-viewer it should have a feature to select the axis data against
which
to plot the scanned data.

as there is no such tool yet and no announcements yet, i wonder if
anyone is
developing something like that.

i just want to avoid spending time and effort in something that has
already
been started somewhere else.
so its better to coordinate and synchronize development instead of doing
the
same work twice in different places.

hints, statements and comments are welcome.

regards,
hartmut gilde
