	NeXus API for Java Release 1.0 available

	There is now a NeXus API for the Java programming language
        available. It uses the Java Native Methods Interface in order to
        access the C language NAPI calls. Therefore it can only be
	used by Java applications but not by applets. This is also
	implies that a shared library is needed in order to run a NeXus
        for Java program.

	More information can be found at:

		http://lns00.psi.ch/nexus/jnexus

	This URL may change in the future but can then be found through
	the main NeXus pages. This page links to:
	- Various bits of Dokumentation
	- Binary downloads for:
		* DigitalUnix 4.0D
		* Redhat Linux 6.2, Intel
		* Windows-NT, 95, 98
	- Instructions for obtaining the source code.

	More binary distributions may be created with the help of the
	community which might either provide shared libraries and makefiles
	or provide logins to interesting systems, preferably with a JDK1.1
        already installed.

	This is an initial release, so be prepared to find bugs.
