About NXxas adoption, here are my comments:

- I doubt any synchrotron will implement spectroscopy definitions at top
level because it is quite common to combine several spectroscopies at
once. Therefore a "subentry" approach is more appropriate. At the ESRF
definitions will be based on the use of NXsubentry *without* imposing
the dataset being present to be a link to a particular place in the
file. Just the presence of the dataset will be enough.

- Analysis codes do not need to impose all the NeXus structure in the
HDF5 file. Therefore I doubt they will impose to have it.

In my opinion, if analysis codes do not support the definitions, the
definitions are useless. I maintain that definitions do not have to come
from NIAC but from communities and/or application developers.

Best regards,

Armando
