Mark,

What Uwe produced is fine. My request is more to have a single PDF that explains the API. The docbook suggestion is just what I have recently chosen for things of this nature. I guess that the alternative to a single PDF is to convert your document to HTML and get it onto the website.

  c) I cannot do docbook, I would have to learn it. Yet another thing to
     learn.... But it is not as bad as it seems: The original is latex
     and can be converted to html using html2tex.
