<div dir="ltr"><div><div>Hi folks! Abstract submissions are live. The idea is not necessarily to have NIAC members speak, but it's not a hard and fast rule by any means, so if you want to sign up, that's ok by me. Please advertise! Below I have drafted an email you could forward on to your respective peers in your own fields, as I will for mine. Thanks all! Here's to a great NIAC meeting!</div><div>-Aaron</div><div><br></div><div>Hi all, the NeXus International Advisory Committee (NIAC) is soliciting user talks as part of its biennial meeting at NOBUGS on Sept 25th, 2026 in Hamburg, Germany. We'd like to invite general users of NeXus from a variety of fields to present how they are using NeXus, their data usage patterns, including collection, propagation, and archival, and where they'd like to go in the future. Abstracts can be submitted through the NOBUGS submission system.</div><div><br></div><div>General info about NOBUGS: <a href="https://indico.xfel.eu/event/2/overview" target="_blank">https://indico.xfel.eu/event/2/overview</a></div><div>The NIAC satellite meeting: <a href="https://indico.xfel.eu/event/2/page/17-nexus-international-advisory-committee-niac" target="_blank">https://indico.xfel.eu/event/2/page/17-nexus-international-advisory-committee-niac</a></div><div>Abstract submission: <a href="https://indico.xfel.eu/event/2/abstracts/" target="_blank">https://indico.xfel.eu/event/2/abstracts/</a></div><div><br></div><div>Abstracts are due by May 3rd, 2026. Specifically, sessions A and B (10am-noon, and 13:30-15:30, local time) would include three 20-minute talks and an hour for discussion from general users. We would send a call for abstracts to the larger community, inviting external speakers who use NeXus. The discussion sessions would solicit feedback and suggestions.<div><br></div><div>We already know that there is interest from some folks already planning to attend NOBUGS so this seems like a good opportunity. The reason to do two sessions would be to allow people attending other satellite meetings a chance to join a session they can attend.</div><div><br></div><div>Thoughts? Thanks!</div><div>-Aaron<br><div><br></div><div><br></div></div></div>
