<p>Hi all,</p>
<p>As the new NXDL Technical Manager, I would like to start technical meetings<br />on NXDL, separate from the general NIAC meetings. They are open to anyone<br />and might be especially interesting for people who:</p>
<p>- develops tools that read the *.nxdl.xml files or nxdl.xsd directly, or<br />- are invested in how NXDL evolves from a technical pov.</p>
<p>The first topic is PR #1669:<br />https://github.com/nexusformat/definitions/pull/1669</p>
<p>It does two things:<br />- it declares, in NXDL itself, the attributes that every field and group<br />  may have (@NX_class, @target, @units, ...);<br />- it defines NeXus links by their content instead of as HDF5 hard links.</p>
