Hi - i've finally got a bit of the NAPI source repository off the
ground. The page is located at:
http://sutekh.nd.rl.ac.uk/NeXus/
And currently it will let you view the overall change log, and also
download the latest release in TAR or ZIP format (the download page
takes a few seconds to appear as it actually checks the source out of
the repository and builds the kit on the fly). The zip and tar form is
meant for non-development work - developers should obtain their copy by
using the CVS version control software (available free for most
machines), which allows you to look at differences between revisions of
files, view file change histories, merge in somebody elses changes etc.
I'll post further notes on doing that in a few days. When somebody
updates the files in the source repository, a mail message could be
sent to everybody on the NAPI mailing list - is that desirable, or
would people just prefer to look at the change log on the WWW as
needed?
Freddie
