[NeXus-tech] propose change to NXDL xchema

I want to add an additional attribute to each NXDL's
root element (definition) that tells in which category the
class is defined (base class, application definition,
or contributed definition).

This will simplify some steps in the XSLT transformations.
Right now, there is no way for the XSLT routines to know
which category of definition applies.

Here's the revised definition:
-------------------------% clip here %--------------------------
	<xs:complexType name="definitionType">
		<xs:group ref="nx:groupGroup" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded" />
		<xs:attribute name="name" use="required" />
		<xs:attribute name="type" use="required" type="nx:definitionTypeAttr" />
		<xs:attribute name="extends" use="optional" />
		<xs:attribute name="restricts" use="optional" />
		<xs:attribute name="svnid" use="optional"/>
		<xs:attribute name="category" use="required">
			<xs:simpleType>
				<xs:restriction base="xs:string">
					<xs:enumeration value="base"/>
					<xs:enumeration value="application"/>
					<xs:enumeration value="contributed"/>
				</xs:restriction>
			</xs:simpleType>
		</xs:attribute>
	</xs:complexType>
-------------------------% clip here %--------------------------

Is this a problem for anyone?

Pete
