Hi all,

I've created a nice utility to allow you explore the contents of an HDF5 file with standard operating system tools (file browser, find, grep, etc.) Ray described it as nxbrowse on steroids, which was about what I was aiming for. It should run on Linux and Mac (reports for the latter welcome).

Setup details etc can be found here on github:

    https://github.com/zjttoefs/hdfuse5/wiki

All runs in python so there is only the source to download.

It is not specific to NeXus, that's why it's not mentioned anywhere.

Once we've rolled the thing out to users here at Diamond, I'd be happy to publish it to a broader audience. For the moment see it as a preview.

Regards,

Tobias
