[NeXus-tech] Scattering application definition of Rainer Gehrke HDRI

Eugen:

I examined that file (NXscattering.nxdl.xml as pulled from the PDF) for 
basic syntax and validation against the XML Schema, nxdl.xsd.  (Ignore 
the changes I had to make in the schema declarations of the root element 
to fit my local directory mess.)  Here are some changes for Rainer:

This is easy:
- <dimensions size="2">
+ <dimensions rank="2">

This is a bit more work:
- <dim value="frameindex" />
+ <dim index="frameindex_position" value="frameindex" />

Also, these two symbols must be defined using a <symbols /> element near 
the very top of the NXDL, just before the <doc> element:

     <symbols>
         <doc>These symbols will be used below to coordinate dimensions 
with the same lengths.</doc>
         <symbol name="frameindex"><doc>number of detector image 
frame</doc></symbol>
         <symbol name="frameindex_position"><doc>index of data where 
frameindex appears</doc></symbol>
     </symbols>


The <dim /> element requires an index attribute which (at this time)
MUST be an NX_INT.  Here is a problem for NeXus, which has not yet 
allowed a symbol to describe the subscript position for Rainer's 
frameindex.

The change to nxdl.xsd is trivial to make and (I believe) backwards 
compatible.  I might need to add some code to ensure that the value of 
the index attribute is actually a defined symbol or a positive integer 
and not an empty string.

Also attached is the revised and now compliant NXDL file.
