I am about to close the nexus-developers list as per the discussions at the NIAC and send a note to the nexus, nexus-developers and nexus-committee lists. Everybody on nexus-developers is already on the general nexus list. Suggested text below:

At the recent NIAC 2012 meeting it was decided to close the nexus-developers at nexusformat.org<mailto:nexus-developers at nexusformat.org> mailing list. The members of this list are a subset of the general nexus at nexusformat.org<mailto:nexus at nexusformat.org> list and nexus-developers was originally intended for nexus programming API related matters, but with increased use of directly writing NeXus from HDF5 (e.g. via h5py) such a separate list is no longer required. The presence of a separate developer list could also lead to confusion about where to post messages concerning e.g. nexus application definitions, which are really of more general interest than just "nexus-developers". Though the developer list is now closed to new postings, previous messages can still be accessed via the archive http://lists.nexusformat.org/pipermail/nexus-developers/

Regards,

Freddie
