This is a modified draft resulting from discussions about earlier drafts
among Tobias Richter, Jonathan Sloan and me, with changes I have made over
the past week to remove material on which there was some disagreement
among us last week. This version has a moderately complete mapping
from CBF into NeXus which raises issues that should be discussed. In
parallel, I am working on the mapping from NeXus to CBF, especially
the Dectris Eiger application definition, that I will be discussing
with Tobias and Jonathan before sending it to this wider audience, but
I don't think it will raise significant issues and hope to have a draft
of a complete draft bi-directional mapping document for the next telco
in 2 weeks.
This current draft combines input from Tobias S. Richter, Jonathan Sloan and
myself, as well as comments and suggestions by Mark Koennecke in 2010
(see

This draft is by me. I take complete responsibility for any
mistakes and misunderstandings in this draft. Please send comments,
corrections and suggestions to \url{yayahjb at gmail.com}. My objective
is to meet the commitment we made at the January Eiger workshop to
distribute what will hopefully be a consensus proposed mapping to
the community in the near future, if possible. We probably won't
come to complete agreement, but whatever we can agree on would help
people move forward on software designs, and clarifying any areas of
disagreement will help in future efforts to resolve those disagreements.
The reader is assumed to already have familiarity with imgCIF/CBF, NeXus
and HDF5.
