[NeXus-tech] ECM satellite meeting

The meeting with the IUCr CIF people in Chester would be just before the
ECM, and with the
success in Baden, there is a good chance of a sound agreement with the
IUCr. Discussions
with software developers, other equipment vendors and with controls
people on the implications
of these two efforts would be very useful for all concerned. It is not
a matter of reopening
file format discussions, but of fleshing out the very important details
(application definitions
and ontologies) of what has been agreed, so everybody can work in the
same direction and
everybody can be aware of where to find necessary resources and how to
use them.

For such a purpose, a lunch or dinner discussion session, coupled with 1
or 2
presentations within the ECM sessions might work.

Regards,
   Herbert

Having people in the same room agree on things no one thought possible for the last 20 years was inspiring.
