[Nexus] WARNING: hdfview 2.5 [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED]

Hi All,

We have found that version 2.5 of the hdfview program from the hdfgroup
can zero out several bytes at the start of a nexus file, the rest of the
data file is unaffected.  But if then try to read the file using one of
the applications compiled against the napi (eg nxconvert, nxbrowse,
nxdir) it appears to be empty.

The affected bytes are in line 3, byte 73 to byte 96 inclusive.

Question: Does anyone know why the napi needs that byte pattern?
