Hi Tobias,
here are the answers for the ESRF :
Facility Name: ESRF - The European Synchrotron
Facility Logo URL:
http://www.esrf.eu/files/live/sites/www/files/Common/logo.png
Total number of beamlines/instruments: 40
NeXus is written on this many beamlines/instruments: 2
HDF5 can be optionally written on almost all ERF BLs but is currently
only being done by ID21 and ID2. For the Full Field XANES application on
ID21 there is an option to write out files with a Nexus-wise application
definition extension. This has been necessary because there exists none
for Full Field XANES in NEXUS.
NeXus is the primary format for this many of them: - None
We are using the following back ends (valid choices HDF5, HDF4, XML): HDF5
Any migration plans for the future: moving from local formats to NEXUS
via HDF5: EDF to HDF5/Nexus
Recent developments: HDF5/Nexus support integrated into LIMA detector
readout framework
We use the following software packages to browse, analyse or process
NeXus: PyFAI and PyMca
The following application definitions are in use here: - None
An average NeXus file contains this many datasets: - 1
We use NAPI for writing: - No
For reading: - h5py
Regards
Andy + Claudio
