On the theme of name clashes, an amusing aside ... having recently had to
purchase a new washing machine i
was amused to see that it listed "Nexus construction" as one of its features

Nexus Construction

The Nexus Construction represents 8 years of Home Laundry development and a
£140 million investment.
Five sub assemblies make up a Nexus washing machine and six (the 6th is the
drying unit) make up a dryer. These can be sited where they are best suited
rather than for convenience thus giving total rigidity to the machine. This
results in the machines being more reliable and gives greater durability.

The cabinet is made of zinc coated steel and a Polymer grooved drive belt
powers the wash unit that is supported by shock absorbers. The Nexus
construction with the inclusion of Carboran makes the machine much quieter,
the shock absorbers reduce vibration and give a smooth transition from wash
to spin to stop.

The performance is vastly improved by the design and all parts are
recyclable so it is environmentally friendly.
The rear of the machine is moulded to accommodate the wash pipes. This saves
space and gives an attractive finish.
