Hi all,
As the new NXDL Technical Manager, I would like to start technical
meetings
on NXDL, separate from the general NIAC meetings. They are open to
anyone
and might be especially interesting for people who:
- develops tools that read the *.nxdl.xml files or nxdl.xsd directly, or
- are invested in how NXDL evolves from a technical pov.
The first topic is PR #1669:
https://github.com/nexusformat/definitions/pull/1669
It does two things:
- it declares, in NXDL itself, the attributes that every field and group
may have (@NX_class, @target, @units, ...);
- it defines NeXus links by their content instead of as HDF5 hard links.
If you would like to join, please fill in the Doodle:

We will organise the rest on Zulip, so please join and reply there:

Cheers,
Wout De Nolf
