First comment:

No NXdata group inside the NXentry group

This file is not compliant with the NeXus standard.

To be a data file compliant with the NeXus standard, it needs at least 
one NXdata group.  Every NXdata group needs a dataset with attribute 
signal=1.  The group may have other datasets, but they must not have the 
signal=1 attribute.
