The outstanding issues are:
#6 (java unlimited dimensions): believed fixed, but awaiting feedback
#17 (problem with putdata in xml for non null-terminated NX_CHAR): not
fixed
#68 (absoft f77): I'll work with Ray and get this fixed
#84 (pkgconfig): did the [948] 4.0 branch commit not fix this?
#86 Include python bindings with Windows kit: not done, but straight
forward
I might be able to fix #17, but Mark could probably do it quicker if he
has time.
How soon would you be looking for uint64 support?

We are interested in changing at the end of August. Can you arrange with
Ray to get the Absoft compiler problems fixed? Were there tickets
besides #68 and #84 that should be fixed for the patch level release? If
it is just those two, and you can get to Ray, a couple of weeks is
reasonable for a release.

Peter,
I think most of the 4.0.0 issues are "fixed pending verification" so a
quick round of testing may be all that is required before releasing
4.0.1. There is an Absoft issue
(http://trac.nexusformat.org/code/ticket/68) that requires a little
work, but could be sorted out in a few days if Ray is around and
available to check builds for me. When were you hoping to start on your
testing at SNS?

At SNS we are about to go through the process of verifying our tools
against the "latest" release version of the NeXus API. I know that a
couple of small bugs got into v4.0.0, some of which have even been
fixed. Since it is the same cost to us to switch to v4.0.0 as v4.0.1 I
was curious what the schedule was for getting the new version tagged and
released.
